1 unit of 3 kg tambaqui
2 lemon units
1 tablespoon of oregano
4 tablespoons of butter
Black pepper
salt
How to make Baked Tambaqui:
The first step in making oven-roasted tambaqui is to open the fish through the belly, clean it well and wash it. Then make some cross cuts on one side and the other, place in a bowl and season with lemon juice, pepper and oregano. Leave it for about 3 hours to get the flavor, or at least 30 minutes.
After that time, it's time to bake the tambaqui: sprinkle it with salt, brush the butter all over it, wrap it in aluminum foil and place it in a baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 20 minutes, remove the foil, carefully turn the fish and finish roasting until golden.
When the tambaqui baked in the oven is well browned, it's ready to serve! Serve with mashed potatoes and drizzle with butter and sage sauce. Also try making dry fried tambaqui and let us know what you think. Enjoy your food!
